Cursor not appearing in recordings in Camtasia.mac 2.10.4 in High Sierra

I've just recorded a series of screen demos for our software through Camtasia.mac version 2.10.4 in High Sierra version 10.13.2 and as I just went in to review all the the recordings I've noticed that my cursor has completely disappeared. Is there a fix for this?  I didn't have this issue in Sierra.

Unfortunately there is nothing you can do to recover the cursor with those recordings.  For High Sierra (OS X 10.13) we had to change the way we capture the cursor so even though the cursor position information is in you recordings, the actual cursor images are not.  Camtasia 3, version 3.1.1 is the first version that has full High Sierra support. The current release version of Camtasia is 3.1.2.

So you are saying the cursor recording will not work in Camtasia 2 on a Mac using High Sierra? I need to upgrade to Camtasia 3?

High Sierra with Camtasia 3.1.5 not showing any cursor, although strangely the cursor effects work, just no cursor.

Camtasia 3.1.1 is the first release that supported High Sierra.  Are you on a Beta version of 10.13?  Cursor capture is working through 10.13.4. It is currently not working on the 10.13.5 beta.

The cursor position is recorded as a separate data stream from the cursor image itself.  So that is why cursor effects still work even though the cursor image doesn't.

You shouldn't be having any issues though if you are not on a beta build of the OS.

Did you have to do anything specific? Or did it just mysteriously begin working? ;)
