I've just downloaded a trial version of Camtasia 8 and I am having issues seeing my mouse when I start recording. Are there any plug-ins or settings I need to change?

Hey Logan,

Thanks for your tips however I've tried this and a bunch of other things including changing the cursor size and color and as soon as start recording the cursor flickers or momentarily disappears.

Regards, Paul

Hey Paul,

I have exact the same problem. Very irritating, since I used Camtasia before and never had this problem. I'm using Windows XP, I tried in Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox but nothing changed. As soons as recording starts, the cursor is gone. Please help,

Kind regards
Janine

Can you all let us know what version of Camtasia Studio you are using and if it is the latest version or not ? Also, what OS ( Operating System) you are using, is it Windows 7, or 8 or an earlier version which probably would not work well with the latest version.

If you are using Windows 7 have you tried disabling the Aero Feature in Windows 7 ? I am not sure how this is done on Windows 8 as I do not use it. Hope this helps and let us know.

Hello Fred,
A small part in your response touched on something that I was beginning to believe, that it may be an issue with the OS on my machine. The computer I have been assigned is running Windows XP with a trial of the latest version of Camtasia (8.3.0).

So there is no fix to the cursor issue in Windows XP?

In Windows XP you can try disabling your hardware acceleration and see if that makes a difference. Hope this helps and if you have any questions let us know and whether it does help or not.
