Custom Callouts and other customisations (Camtasia 9)

This is about the recent Camtasia 9. I can't seem to easily save modifications to callouts to the callouts section on the left pane. If/when I save, it goes straight to library. In Snagit 13 (which I know is entirely different), it is easy to save customisations to any shape or callout etc (and not save it to a separate library).

I've really tried to save customisations to my callouts and other things to the relevant sections, but I cannot find a way to do it as yet. If there is a way - I'd be grateful for help.

If there is no easy way to do what I'm asking then it's probably an idea for development.

Agreed! So critical! Doing a series for a new book series or product and want to unify look with the whole site they will be placed on...  The callout doesn't even remember last settings- so I have to manually change color, text size, opacity, stroke, position, etc.. for EVERY. SINGLE. CALLOUT!

I'm about to move to the Mac to use Screenflow- Prefer PC and have always loved and promoted Camtasia, but this feature is worth this much to us.  It easily doubles production time on a single video with a lot of callouts.

The Mac version of Camtasia does have the functionality it sounds like you are looking for (see my other post in this thread) and now that we are cross platform, you could use that version if you have a Mac available to you. I definitely understand the frustration of not being able to do so on Windows though, so if you watch that video I posted and the Mac functionality is what you're looking for on Windows, let me know!

Yes, Dan, that would be very helpful! We use the same six colors and two fonts for all callouts, and while we can do it by making various library items, being able to simply save the font/color/border combo as a style would save a lot of time.

Oh, and may I tack on that being able to customize the Keyboard Callouts with custom styles would be great too. They're the only thing in my projects that doesn't follow the font/color/border styles.
