I am trying to scale a callout so that it is long and thin. However I am unable to drag the edge of the callout, I can re scale from the properties but this scales up in proportion and I want it long and thin. I am using Camtasia 9.

Not all callouts can be made thin. For example Cloud type callouts can not be made thin. You should be able to click and drag on one of the corner or side transform points when your callout is selected to scale it how you want it.

Tried to upload a gif to show you but it will not upload (Internal error)

This is not a cloud callout. It is just a basic rectangle. Dragging from any of the transform points just moves the rectangle and doesn't actually resize it.

When you hover over one of the points does your cursor change to a double head arrow? or is it a four headed arrow?
If it does change to a double headed arrow but does not scale the callout, than I would suspect it is a bug.

Try closing and restarting Camtasia and see if it works. If no go

As stupid as it sounds, I saved and closed my project, re-opened it, and now it works.

COOL!! Cam 9 defiantly has some bugs. Sometimes a restart can get you going again.

Was this ever logged as a bug as it happens to me fairly frequently?
