Cyber Monday Sale - 2018

I get it.  1. Cyber Monday is a good time to have a promotion. 2. It's wonderful that you reduced the price of upgrades for a day.  3. Timing is not everything, but it helps.  4. You can't protect customers from themselves.  After working with the free trial of Snagit 2019, I finally decided to upgrade.  It's unfortunate that I picked the day before a 1-day sale.  The lost $6.25 won't affect my substantial investment portfolio, but now I have to skip going to Starbucks for two days.  When it comes to shopping,  I don't really have an idea here; it's just that it's embarrassing that I didn't really have a clue.  I just had to tell someone.

I sometimes wonder whether Black Friday / Cyber Monday actually do businesses any good.

My main licence is for my personally owned computers.

I also have a separate Snagit 12 licence for my work-supplied computer since getting a work-supplied licence is an ask and a half, paperwork wise.

I recently, as in last week, decided that Camtasia would be useful as well. (For limited activity, since my work-supplied notebooks have notoriously small HDDs. The things I do on my personal computer are quite different.) So last week I figured that I'd go ahead and buy the bundle  and upgrade to the current Snagit along with C2018. (I principally use C9 because of issues with .mov videos in C2018, which won't be an issue here.)

Then the e-mail arrived. "Cyber Monday, big deals coming!" {Shrug}, "I can wait until Monday", I thought.

I bought the bundle this morning for 25% less than I would have had there not been a Cyber Monday deal.

It did no harm at all to my goodwill factor, at least. Quite the contrary.

You, however, may be feeling otherwise because you were unaware of the deal in advance which is of course the other danger with deals like these; they can leave other customers who miss out feeling a little bit "Hey, what just happened there???"
