Data validation for email address in Camtasia quiz form

Quiz reporting is a key resource for me and I use quiz reports to monitor my students' progress through my courses.  For automating the use of the data that comes through the quiz reports I need a unique identifier.  As last names are not always unique, I use students' email addresses entered into the form that pops up at the start of each video with embedded quiz.  Unfortunately I am finding that some students, usually the poor ones, sometimes supply email addresses with typos and misspellings.  It would be helpful, in my view, to have the option to include a two email address fields that are required to match.  Such data validation would help reduce such typos.  Even when people copy and paste their email address into the second field it forces them to glance over it again to see if it is correct.

as a workaround, add a fill in the blank question asking for the email again?

Hi,
Bob's idea will work.

You could also have an unscored question at the very beginning or the end of the video that asks for First Name and Last Name.

Let us know if these options don't work for you and we can try and come up with a different idea.

Hi Kelly,

Yours and kayakman's suggestions are decent workarounds but they can't confirm two email address strings match (data validation) and having multiple, potentially different email address strings would present its own challenge when linking quiz reports with a given student's account.  At the moment I manually correct email typos before linking fresh quiz data with students' records.  I don't know if having two independent email address strings will help a great deal to be honest.  Thanks for your suggestion, however.
