--Original Content Below--
Prior to launching this round up off, we would like to let everyone know that we will be updating those Ideas from June's roundups that we have information on, so keep an eye out on those. You can find our list of June's Camtasia roundup here and Snagit's roundup here. Any comments regarding past roundups will be moved to the appropriate location as this post is here to highlight new suggestions from the community.

The purpose of this Camtasia round-up, which will be active from today. Monday, December 18th, 2017 to January 2nd, 2017, is to take the top feature suggestions from July 1st, 2017 through to December 11th, 2017. "Top Ideas" are defined by the number of "Me Too's" that a thread has so make sure to click on that "Me Too" button on Ideas that you find would work for you. Please note that no ideas posted in the comments of this topic will be added to the current round up; if you have an Idea that you would like to submit for a roundup, please do so by creating a new thread and sharing it via your colleagues, social channels, and champaion its cause here in the TechSmith Community Forums. Though this may change, the next roundup is likely to be in/around June of 2018, so make sure you get out there and share your Ideas!

Again, thank you for your continued support and remember, if you are experiencing technical difficulties or would like to report a possible bug, please open a ticket.

I love this software but am moving over to Cyberlink for the following reasons, I need to be able to publish at 60fps, I'd like to publish at a better quality like 2 or 4k. I'd like to be have Audio Ducking, and a noise gate for better narration. I'd like to manually set the volume on narration for a whole track of individual recordings ie set it to 150 or 80 by typing in 150 or 80 (the current way is fine for the odd bit of work, but clunky and painful for an hour plus worth of video) and possibly have a mixing option to improve audio, apart from that this is great software, stable and easy to use, just not outputting the quality I need sadly

Oh and you seriously need to work on your tutorials btw, how the hell do you think a newbie will get to grips with your software with those little soundbite videos, when I learned I had to go onto Udemy and You Tube to learn how to use your product and that's ridiculous

I agree with 60 fps...it's absolutely necessary.

$200 for a software without 60fps... really disappointed

I taught myself. I needed to do very fast and direct tutorials. LOVED the ability to link to local files for fully exportable, self-contained tutorials that did NOT depend on the internet for links in hotspots and such. So disappointed they removed that very simple feature, but it's about money for them.

Yep, 60 fps, Proxy files for 4k editing and some decent color grading would vastly improve this otherwise great software. I don't know how their 'short list' can skip all the most important stuff.

I honestly think that if we are paying $200+ for this software we should be able to produce in 60fps

Not gonna lie I feel as if these top picks are kinda dodgy as 4k rendering and 1080p at 60fps would be very highly recommended by the community and it's not on the list. It's like the standard in every video editing software except Camtasia. I appreciate the work you guys do behind the scenes but this is a priority feature that could literally be the deciding reason people don't buy this software.

I want to be able to move frame by frame with right and left keys again

Or even better, allow the end user (as in us) to configure the keys we want to assign to that function.

I would like to be able to enable back round remove, however, the "Remove back round color" option is still an okay option.

Interesting. I just upgraded to 9 and thought I was doing something wrong because I couldn't figure out how to left/right through frames anymore like in 8. Sounds like the feature doesn't exist. Bring that back! Or like you said, let us choose the keys.

You can still do it. The keys have changed. They are now the < and the > keys.

There may already be a way to do this- but I'm always inadvertently adding Markers- makes me crazy. Any way to disable and just activate via SHIFT-M?

White Board Recorder like Video Scribe where you write on a virtual white board and your message can be built as if you are drawing pictures.

I think you could combine Coach's eye with Camtasia, i noticed that Nacsport is the first sports analysis tool to have a proper video timeline like Camtasia. More to come i suspect.

SIXTY FRAMES PER SECOND. Really, that's it. That's all I need and all that is necessary to keep my business. I'm working AROUND Camtasia because of this issue. We are recording all of our training videos at 59.96 fps. It's ludicrous.

Curious why there is nothing on the list about enhancing callouts - particularly the spotlight. I have seen (and participated in) several online requests for more spotlight functionality - does it just not make the cut? E.g. more of an actual "spotlight" (round), adjust shape, etc.

I would like to record audio by itself and be able to save as an mp3 as was available in camtasia 8.  I don't think this is one of the choices but is what I would like.

There is a thread for this, https://feedback.techsmith.com/techsmith/topics/re-instate-mp3-output. Vote on it. But not sure why it wasn't included, it's more popular than things on this list.

I love Camtasia as a software.  It gives you lots of options for creativity. Apart from the software crashing every so often (which to be honest, happens a lot!) there isn't much wrong with it at all. Bu the one thing viee always wanted to do is reverse clips. Say you open a package, you can then play that clip in reverse so that it looks like you are wrapping it back up again. It's simple, but very useful. Thankyou x

I love Camtasia but would love it much much more with support of 1080 @60fps (120 would be ideal but I'm not greedy) and PLEEEEEEEEEEASE! 4k @30fps (60 would be ideal). I end up having to go to PPro for anything involving any of the above.

I would like to be able to put pictures in quizzes. That would be a great feature for educational institutions.

I'd settle for functioning noise cancellation. It's a pain in the stones to export audio, clean it, then re-insert it.

Yes, I agree, all type of function to improve the audio quality would be great. And more important, which can be applied to a multi selection of clips.
