default color for sketch motions

I'm switching from Camtasia for PC to Camtasia for Mac. I use the Sketch Motion rectangle annotation tool a lot, and I want it to be red. The default color for the PC was red, but it's yellow-green for Mac. This means I have to change the color every time, which is not hard, but I'd like to avoid it. Is there a way to change the default color?

While I'm here, why did someone think that it would be best to make the proportional sizing the default, restricting us to squares. I know I can press shift to make a rectangle, but it's just one more thing. I bet most people want rectangles instead of squares. The PC version was better for this.

Yes, after you change the color, save your annotation for re-use:

Thanks for the suggestion, but when I click on the A, all I get is a bonk sound, and nothing seems to happen. Where does it save it to?

it should save it right to your list of sketch callouts on the left.
That button is disabled if you don't have any changes from a callout you already have maybe?

I thought of that but I place a motion sketch rectangle-square on the timeline, change the color to red, click the A, and Bonk-nothing.

Weird. Can you post a screenshot of your whole window, with the Annotations panel open to the sketch callouts, and the properties on the right set up (but not working when you hit the button)?

Weird indeed. I tried opening a new project, and the procedure worked fine. I went back to the project I was working on, and the new annotation was there. When I tried doing it again, it worked fine...no bonks and the altered annotation showed up on my list. I have no explanation, but I'm very happy to have learned something new. Thanks for the help.
