Default to "Selection" when clicking on Canvas

When I am working on the canvas, I routinely press escape to go from Arrow / Call Out or whatever I am working on, to Selection. I always miserably fail because it doesn't work like that. I have to go to the Toolbar first and click Selection to go back. What about a compromis: if you click outside the image but still on the canvas, Snagit defaults bag top "Selection"

I couldn't agree more! Also if you modify annotation (like an arrow) and modify the opacity or stroke values NOW you can't get back out to the default unselected state. Hitting tab used to bring you out. Now it just shuffles you between the two text values. So, you can't copy the image to the clipboard. I have to switch to another of the recent captures first and then return to get the context back to the captured image.

We released a new version today (Snagit 2018) that, among many other features, includes the ability to press escape to switch to the Move tool. Note that this is a paid upgrade for users who do not have a maintenance agreement. More information on upgrades here: https://www.techsmith.com/snagit-upgrade.html
