Suggestion: Setting defaults for various features. For the record, I love SnagIt. But when I use the shape feature, I always have to go in to the Fill dropdown and select "no fill".  Also, when I do any erasing, I always have to go to the Image tab and select canvas color, and then select White. I rarely ever need Transparent, and I never need the fill to be anything other than "No Fill".  I wish there was a way that I could set a default so I didn't have to do this every time I open and capture.  Maybe there is a way but couldn't find it in help.

I too would like the tool to remember that I like to place a border around my images. I often paste screen captures onto white pages, and having to explicitly select a border each time becomes tedious. Thanks for listening

Have you tried creating a custom capture profile? You should be able to configure a profile that automatically includes a border.

Thank you for your prompt reply.

On Windows I run Snagit 12.4.1 and I can't seem to find the corresponding menu item which is illustrated in the article whose link you provided.  Where can I find it please ?
