Delete Screen but keep audio and how to add music

i'm working on a camtasia screencast in mac. how do i delete the screen but keep the audio? also, how do i add music? thanks.--susan

You could split the track by right clicking and selecting "separate video and audio." Then, delete the track containing video. As for adding music, you'd import that just like any other piece of media. Is there something specific you're having a problem with?

I have the same question - I've split the tracks, but con't figure out how to delete only the video and not the audio.

If you have split the video and audio tracks, Lock the track you want to stay the same, then can edit the other track.  You can lock the track by little "lock" symbol in the far left near the track #.

i have a four minute video. i've worked on it all day and gotten about the first 40 seconds done. there are a lot of kind of blank boring areas. how do i delete sections of the audio? i'd like to get this down to a minute or a minute 30sec. thx.

For the most part, you can just highlight and delete it. This tutorial may also help:
