How do I add fonts into SnagIt 2018?
Specifically Font Awesome
Second, for this and other symbolic fonts like Wingdings and Webdings (and their variants), we need to see the symbols. It's too much of a PITA to have to go look at external sources to map the symbols to the KB characters

Hey Paul. are you familiar with the Windows Character Map application? Perhaps it will help until such time that what you are asking for would be implemented.
Start > Run > charmap.exe
I use it all the time for copying interesting characters that aren't easy to insert by other means.
Cheers... Rick :)

What is needed is support for OTF fonts to be able to use Font Awesome fonts.
I have them installed on my machine but even in other programs like sketch, Word, In Design, etc.
they still are limited. For webpage design they work great though because you can just code them in.
If it's any help for wingdings, wingdings2, wingdings3 I just have a chart printed and refer to it.
Quickest way I have found to use them. Better than going back and forth to character map.
You can get a chart here

I converted them using http://www.freefontconverter.com/ ...didn't help. The opentype fonts are available using other applications in Win10 without issue. This appears to have been an issue with Snagit since version 9.
