How can I put a desktop icon in place to activate Snag It instead of searching for that annoying cutsie-pice pop-up or rollover or whatever. I just bought the latest version. I use Snag It A LOT and value it. But not this new Where's Waldo method of putting it to work.

Hello,

I use SnagIt many times a day. It's out of the way until I invoke it with Hot Key combo (Ctrl+Shift+Z) and Escape if I change my mind. In Capture go to Preferences - Hot Keys.

I guess this means there is no option for a desktop launch icon. I was already aware it is lurking at the screen edge. Thanks, anyway.

I wasn't talking about the Red circle at the top of the screen, I don't need that. I was referring to simply having SnagIt happen, do it's thing and get out of the way.

You still want to have a step where you click a desktop button and then have to initiate the capture anyways? Okay.

Click on Start, find SnagIt in the list, right-click and select  Pin to Taskbar (bottom row).
