Device Frame Backgrounds need to have an option of a block colour

It would be better if the device frame backgrounds had a choice of a block colour background.  I add callouts notes etc. to support the steps in the video and the current background distracts from the learning message

I've used the device frames and would like to see more variations. Some non-distracting options would be nice to have.

kayakman you always have some great ideas and work a rounds. Even though they work great for a Masking like effect it would be great if the Camtasia PC Version would integrate the same option for Masking as the Mac Version has as it would make it a lot easier to accomplish one's goals. Keep up the great work kayakman. :)

Very helpful thanks.  I record the screen of an iPhone in portrait using Camtasia and this is what I want to display in the asset.  I am having difficulty resizing the video to fit the screen section of the asset.  Any suggestions

orientate the image of the iPhone vertically when building out the device frame asset

My image is already vertical but the recording does not fit properly and when I try to adjust it the aspect ratio kicks in.  So it is either too high or too thin

what are the dimensions of the recording you mention, that doesn't fit?

what are you project dimensions?

Recording is 404x768 30fps

Project Settings are 1920x1080 60fps

I am not sure how to work out the size of the iPhone asset.  It is sitting in the middle of the canvas and extends to the top and bottom if I set the view at 85%

I assume you want the recording to fit within the iPhone device frame?

I believe that iPhone is a 16/9 ratio device [or close to it]?  your recording is a different aspect [1.9], so something will have to be changed; the iPhone frame will need to stay same aspect, so the recording will need to be squashed down to fit; borders will show

your recording is very small; if you try to zoom it up to fit within the iPhone device frame at 1920x1080, it will likely look blurry

you will likely need to downsize the device frame accordingly; you will also need to use smaller dimensions for your project settings
