Nice upgrade, but why in the world would you include a background to the device graphic? We normally have our own backgrounds when creating a video.

Please update so that device is device only, with no background. Thank you

I love the Device frame feature; would have to agree about the background question. In the meantime I have done this to minimize the background. By no means perfect, but the people involved were quite impressed we had this capability now.

Great, thanks for the feedback both @markdulisse and @timbre4 ! I think I understand what you're hoping for, having Device Frames in Camtasia that are drag-and-drop easy as they are now, but with transparent backgrounds, so that you can either use a solid color or place them on your own background. Is that about right?

One way that we envisioned people might use Device Frames is as an intro / outro for your content. The idea was that you could start with your content in the Device Frame, but then cut/transition to your footage in full-screen mode (so as not to distract your viewers). If that's at all useful or interesting, our training team has put together a really nice overview on how that works here:

Cheers,

Thanks Kelly! One aspect I forgot to mention is it would be nice to be able to smoothly transition from device frame to full frame (dimensions permitting) and vice versa.

Right-on @Timbre4 ! No further explanation needed on that one. :)
