device frame transitions

I am loving the device frames, and with some customisation options this will become a fantastic tool.
One idea I would like to put forward is the ability to transition in and out of the frame - what I mean is I would like to start the video in the frame, but when I get into more complex screen actions, I would like to expand the content from within the frame out to fill the entire screen, and then when appropriate (or not at all) transition back into the frame.... is this possible?

Hi Proportal,

So this is definitely *POSSIBLE* right now, but not perfect, nor as easy as we hope it might be. Basically, you'll want to do the following:

1. Apply your Device Frame effect to your clip on the Camtasia timeline.
2. Add a custom animation point where you want the transition to occur.
3. For the starting animation point, leave everything normal; for the ending animation point, play around with the zoom/position settings in the Property menu, until things are lined up pretty close to what you want.

That should get you about 95% of the way there. Things might be ever-so-slightly tilted in the final shot, but it shouldn't be too distracting.

As far as making this better...if this is something that would be useful to you, make sure to keep letting us know so that we know it's important to start considering! Thanks for your feedback, glad you're enjoying the feature so far. We had a blast recording all of the different scenes in use in the frames; hopefully you enjoy using them as well, and we'd love to see what you end up creating with them!

Cheers,

Kelly
