Different Shortcuts for Screenshots vs Video?

If I change the shortcut for video, it changes the shortcut for image screenshots...so if I was capturing video last time and days later I want to take a screenshot, I can't hit my FN+PrintScreen shortcut and take a screenshot...will default to the video controls.  Therefore, I have to open up the program and change from video to image and then go back for the screenshot...total garbage.

Is there a way I am discovering to have two independent shortcuts so one combination will popup video record and the other screen capture?

Sounds to me like you are changing what type of capture appears in the main program:
I believe when you do this, it simply remembers what was used last.

The way past it is to create a Preset that behaves as you want. Then assign your shortcut keys to the presets.

Click here to see a page discussing how to create presets

Cheers... Rick :)

Thank you, sir. I will give it a try.

Yes, it defaults to what was last used, rather than allow a hotkey for each of them separately...will look into the presets now. :)

Problem solved.  Created a preset for video and one for image, assigned the hotkeys there (less intuitive than selecting in the 'video' program tab and the 'image' tab, but I am good to go nonetheless. :)

Thanks again, Rick!
