Dimensions of new graphic

When I highlight a rectangular section in an existing image and then press CMD+C to copy the content, then, I use CMD+N to create a new canvas.

It would be nice is the dimensions of my copied content could match the newly created canvas.

Photoshop does it this way.

Thank you.

Best regards,

Robert

With Windows, Ctrl + Shift + N creates a new image from the clipboard.

I realize parody between platforms is non-existent. I would think that would not apply here?

Hi Joe,

Yes, on Mac I can use CMD+Shift+N and it shows the same behaviour as on Windows.

Thank you.

This solves the issue.

Best regards,

Robert

Does Mac offer the feature that allows the canvas to automatically expand to accommodate a larger image?

If so, perhaps the answer lies in having that feature enabled along with configuring a small canvas size?

Cheers... Rick :)
