Direct Copy Library Images

I have been a faithful SnagIt user for over a decade?  In fact, it is my most used App and the go-to solution for many, many situations daily.

But, if I could only have one single improvement implemented it would be to address the fact that when one wants to use a Tagged, or Date Listed, image from the left frame located SnagIt Editor Library table of contents the desired thumbnail icon must be clicked on, which opens a SnagIt Editor window which then allows the image to be copied to the Clipboard for use in a target document.

But then, you have to go back and close the worthless Editor window.

All very unnecessary and time-consuming.

Please allow the Library Thumbnail image to just be directly used to access the associated image and place it on the Clipboard (CTRL-SHIFT-C)??.  Currently, if you Copy that thumbnail what you get is an icon and a 32 character system generated file reference BUT no actual picture image.

Easy, peasy and quick with minimal extraneous efforts.

PLEASE CONSIDER.     [:-)>

Ken, in the version that I have Build 4960 - 2020.0.3. You can right-click on the thumbnail and copy to clipboard. There is no short-cut assigned to that event, though. So, your suggestion is partially valid.

ap-  yes that feature has been there a long time but does NOT copy the actual image.  It copies the file name where the SnagIt Editor has saved the image, as I tried to explain in my post.  It's a good start but useless feature.

Try it.  Do a right-click copy and then paste that into say a Word document where it doesn't show up as the image but as a file name.

I see what you meant. I had to open the full library to see all the thumbnails. You are 100% correct that it should work the same way as when you see the thumbnails in the Snagit Editor.
