Hello,

Do you just want to disable the user from scrubbing through the video all together (forward and back)?  Do you want the rest of the player controls (play / pause, volume...)?

Could you add a little context to why you want to prevent this?

Thanks,
Ben

Hey Ben. We would like to prevent users from forwarding the video. Videos are lessons and students must watch the whole video without skipping. They can go back but not forward. So, unfortunately I can't hide the whole controls bar

Thank you for the additional information.  The Smart Player currently does not have a setting that will disable forward seeking.

Your need for a viewer (student) to watch the entire video is one we've heard a lot from customers.

We have some other methods for you to see if a viewer has watched the entire video or not.  Some other options are using SCORM if you have a LMS that supports it to host the video.  Or using our TechSmith quizzing service and give the student a simple quiz at the end of the video.  With the quizzing service we track how much of the video the user watched leading up to the quiz.  So if a student skipped ahead there would be a record of that.
