Disable time based movement

I am Camtasia 8 user. I am planning to create a video which is only driven by hotspots. It should start automatically when the web page opens and not end after a particular time. I want to use only hotspots to move back and forth between images.

Is there a way I can achieve this in Camtasia 8?

Hi Abhay,

The answer is "sort of".

It sounds like what you're really looking to build is more like a web page, in that you want something displayed until the viewer clicks on an image, at which time something else is displayed. Camtasia will always build a video, something with a beginning and an end, but there are ways to stretch conventions.

One way you might try doing this is by having hotspots that do two things:
1. Pause the video (there is an option to pause at the end of hotspot callouts).
2. Jump to a specific time in the video (or marker).

However, without a deep dive into web code, the video will still always have a controller at the bottom, where viewers can pause, play, and scrub the video.

Hope that helps,
Josh
