Is there a way to disable the Snagit settings via registry?  I woulde to disable the ability to share to Google Drive, Dropbox and all of the external sharing services.  Are there any specific registry keys for this?

Those are all profiles A wise person would back up the profiles (Export them to a file) then delete the ones you don't want

You can remove "Any or All" sharing services through the output manager. You don't need to hack the registry.

If you ever want to reinstall them, you can download and install them whenever you want.

I saw that I can remove them manually via profile but I don't want the user being able to add them back.  I figure I can just apply the registry settings via GPO to easily avoid this and it will revert back to how we have it configured.

Not a option I condone or Techsmith will probably like but it is a possible option

Block the program outgoing in your firewall. The big down fall to that is getting updates
may also not work and you would have to periodically connect to update.

There is also another way to block some programs from the internet but I won't go into that here.

Just a thought :)

Hello there;

If you're looking to deploy Snagit to an organization and want certain functions limited, you'll want to take a look at our enterprise deployment resources, specifically the Snagit guides.

Hope that helps!

I looked into those resources but where can I find the setting to disable the Output manager in the Install Features Options?

Was Carms successful in turning Snagit sharing off?

I upgraded to Snagit 2019 MAC.
How to opt out of all sharing?
How to maintain opt out privacy for upgrades and during upgrade process?
I need to resolve this for our organization.

Yes I was.

The easiest way to do this would be install Snagit using some software management tool like SCCM.  This way, you can include a custom transform file (MST) to customize the settings that your users get when Snagit is installed.  We have a tool available that provides a GUI for creating the custom MST file for deployment, and it can be downloaded for free from here: https://www.techsmith.com/enterprise-resources.html

Here is where those settings would be found in the tool:

https://www.screencast.com/t/wbTNbmZg

If you disable them while creating the MST file through the Deployment Tool, then those disabled outputs would not be installed for the users.  I would also recommend disabling the Output Manager: https://www.screencast.com/t/fNO66xLUu

Users would still be able to download and install them on their own.  However you could prevent that by setting the output installation location to a read only directory - this way users would not be able to download and install any.  https://www.screencast.com/t/xFmsiuoJ  That can be set in the User Data Paths section of the Deployment Tool.
