Disappointed and Frustrated

I'm very disappointed in the updated version of Camtasia. Each time I open my file, it's compressed and some of the data I saved is erased. For instance, I captioned my video up to 8:50 and when I opened the file today, my captions from 7:30 to 8:50 are missing. The audio track and the captions don't even align, so I have to guess where to stop and start a new caption. I hope you'll work to resolve these issues.

No, I haven't. I'm providing feedback at this moment, not requesting assistance. Thank you.

Hi Audra , I find that any project I create that is longer than about 5-6 minutes that has any overlays or other annotations has this same issue. I will be working on one end of the project (with the other end out of sight since it's so long) and I will find that inadvertenly some of my previously placed annotations, and even the clip content, will have been erased without my knowing. It is super frustrating.

your described issue can be caused by losing track of selected timeline items

if an item is selected, and out of sight, using the delete key will whack those items from the project

a best practice, before deleting when part of timeline is out of view, is to use ctl shift-7 to zoom timeline max out so you can verify what is selected, before using delete key
