I'm wanting to start my recording with the webcam so training participants can see me, but don't want it open for the rest of the recording.  I can't seem to find a way to remove the webcam or turn it off at the point I don't want it to be visible.

add a split where you want the web cam to stop; then set the following section of the clip's opacity to zero

Hi Jeana,

On your timeline, you should have two tracks.. one for the web cam and one for your other recording.

Something like this:

So, you can move the screen recording down the timeline to move it out of the way while you are speaking. Since the web cam comes in smaller, you might need to resize and reposition it on the canvas.

You can also make a split in the web cam recording where you want to stop seeing it, then delete the portion you do not want, and move the other recording to be after that. Like this:

(I have removed the content of this post, since it seemed to be a duplicate of the post I made above. And, it could be it was not displaying correctly. Removing the whole post also removed kayakman's post. So, I chose to just amend the text.)

I think it was probably a glitch on kaykmans end. I saw the double response. But no text anomalies.

For what its worth.
I don't doubt you saw these anomalies.
I checked this post about 2 minutes after you reported the problem. And saw no such thing.

Kayakman - In an effort to attach and send applications (exe files) via email many years ago, I converted 3 8-bit characters to 4 6-bit characters. So the attachment was 4-thirds original size but was always allowed transit thru the email systems. Anyway, that's what your text blob reminds me of.
