Hi Jason,

Just to clarify, TechSmith Relay has a few components, and the desktop client you're trying to distribute is the TechSmith Relay Recorder. Correct?

I'm also trying to use MSI Wrapper to create an MSI for distribution, but the software does not recognize the Installer Framework used to create the .exe, so I can't make it a silent install without the appropriate command line switches.

any ideas?

In the latest verion of the exe it does does not contain the .bat file but if you grab an older version of the exe it is the same way.

Use 7-Zip to extract the .exe and within it there will be the MSI file and the .bat install file. Open the bat file in a text editor and you will see the command line arguments,

Sorry for the delay in responding to this, I was out on paternity leave.  And thanks to Jason Everling for responding.

To elaborate on what Jason said, there is information about the required command line arguments in our documentation available on  A screenshot of these settings can be seen here:

Now I'm not sure what version of Relay (hosted/self-hosted major/minor) you have, but after you install the recorder on a sample machine (by just using the EXE), there will be a UploaderService.config file that gets added which will contain the values you'll want to include in your MST/MSI command-line.

Depending on what version of Relay you're installing, you will find this file in one of the following locations...
%PROGRAMFILES(x86)%\TechSmith\TechSmith Recorder\Uploader
%PROGRAMFILES(x86)%\TechSmith\Camtasia Relay\Uploader

From that file you can determine what the TeamID and the Primary Endpoint should be.  The other parameters will have defaults if you don't care to specify them.
