Does the display quality matter when recording a screencast?

I have two 24" Dell monitors, one is high end UltraSharp Series ($500+, for photoshop work) and the other is standard monitor for office work (<$150).  I plan to record fixed 1920x1080 resolution. My question is that, will the Camtasia recording quality vary based on what kind of output display I use?

I am not sure the signal was captured before feeding to the display or after. Please someone with the experience advise.

No, the quality of the monitor is not important.
The display settings of your graphics card or system video settings dictate the quality of video captured.

You can actually shut off the monitor you are capturing from and continue recording  screen activity.
