Doesn't recognise its own recordings

I have just tried to do a recording 3 times, each time I finish, press f10 it open up Camtasia and then tells me it doesn't recognise the file, it created it, when I pressed record.

I did two recordings fine yesterday, and today I can't do any. I tried rebooting and it let me do a short one, then when I tried to repeat the one I've been doing, again, it didn't recognise it.

What is going on.

I have sent one, but it sounds like they could take a few days to respond. I was hoping someone here might know the answer.

Thanks Joe.

Repair install takes like 2 min in most cases. It's worth a shot in my opinion. They respond pretty fast in most cases, you may hear from them today.
Have a good one then.

When you do manage to resolve the issue, I'm hopeful you will update this thread with what the "fix" turned out to be.

That could help others down the road.

It is now fixed, I had an email from TechSmith and was told to remove a file from the set up, which worked, the following.

-make sure CamtasiaStudio.exe is not running
-click start-->run and type regedit
-browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\TechSmith\Camtasia Studio\9.0 and delete the 9.0 folder.
-try restarting Camtasia and see what happens when trying to open those recordings\

I have now done a recording, Camtasia recognised it and now I'm getting it ready to share.

Thanks everyone.
