Double screen DPI issue in Camtasia

I have Camtasia 2018 and a dual screen setup. Main screen would be 4K display (250% DPI) + external HD screen (100% DPI) and whenever I want to move Camtasia window to the external screen it doesn't correctly adjust itself to the resolution/size of that screen. Everything stays too big and makes the usage of it a bit hard. i've tried so that Camtasia will start on the external screen but it didn't helped.

I was thinking of buying a license for 2019 but not sure if this issue was fixed or I would have to deal with it again.

After you drag the recording screen to the other monitor.
Are you taking the additional step of setting the recorder to Full Screen mode?

I also have two screens with different resolutions.
You may discover that the problem isn't Camtasia, but rather Microsoft Windows, which really doesn't seem to like the hassle at times. Lots of times on my main 27" screen (2560x1440) my taskbar starts messing up font sizes, as though enlarging my secondary screen (1920x1080).
Joe automatically assumed that you're talking about screen recording, not editing within Camtasia. Is he correct?

lukasik,

To confirm, have you submitted a TechSmith Support ticket to get their feedback?

Sorry for long wait for my answer - I had crazy period include replacement of my external screen so couldn't testy any solutions. I did find one ticket in the similar  area (https://support.techsmith.com/hc/en-us/articles/360038616512-Camtasia-UI-Looks-Too-Big) but it doesn't work for me.

As for the ticket I did not create any - didn't find really a place where I could file a support ticket. When I'm logged in I can only see an option to view my tickets - no button to create a new one. Could you point me to the right place?

paulwilliamengle so I had a chat and they recommended some similar ticket that the one I found. It's this one: https://support.techsmith.com/hc/en-us/articles/203728658-Camtasia-Windows-Captured-Images-or-Video-Display-a-Shift-or-Enlargement-on-the-Screen - title is different but the solution is the same. As I wrote, I did check change of system DPI settings for CamtasiaStudio.exe before and the problem with that was that the UI looked ok, but the recorder captured only 1/4 of the screen even if the whole was selected.

Anyway I rechecked it and this time it recorded the whole screen and the recording was fine. I was a bit surprised to see it worked but maybe there was some Windows update in the meantime that resolved some issues too. The UI looks blurry but at least now I can operate with it on both screens so for me the issue is resolved. Thanks everyone for help.
