Draggable ROTATION point

When you need to rotate an object you don't always want to rotate from the center of the object. Perhaps you need to rotate from the lower left corner. In other products there is an ability to click and drag to configure the rotation point.

While there is a workaround, it's kind of kludgy.

Basically what you do is to insert a very large callout that is configured to be invisible with no fill and no outline. Then drag the object you want to change the rotation point for so that the new rotation point matches the center rotation point of the larger object. Now group the two objects. The grouping now has its own rotation point.

By creatively and carefully placing the two objects before grouping, you can get the rotation point pretty much anywhere you want it to be.

Now I do realize this is just a work around. I'd very much like to add my voice to those asking for a better way to accomplish this. By allowing us a way to set the rotation point where we like. Probably by using some keyboard modifier while clicking and dragging the point.

Cheers... Rick :)
