Drawing Process Flow diagrams in Snagit

Snagit is a great product. I've used it for years and just recently we convinced our office to purchase several copies to make Snagit the standard tool used within our department. I was thinking of other ways Snagit could be used at work and came up with this thought.

Often we have to create simple flow diagrams to illustrate different processes. In those instances when I do it I use VIsio, but I essentially have to relearn how to use the tool each time because I use it so seldom. Visio is a great tool and the folks that use it all the time can do wonders with it. For me, if Snagit had a Flow Shapes option (like the current Shapes) and had a line/arrow option with multiple mid points (to allow you to easily draw lines with corners) I would be able to quickly create my flows in Snagit. In addition I would have all of the other great features of Snagit to easily add graphics and effects to dress up my diagrams. I could do the same thing now (and probably will now that I thought about it) by creating my own shapes and saving them and drawing multiple connected lines, but Techsmith could do a better job, make it easier to use with a separate Flow Shapes palette and line/arrow type palette.

Hi Jim,

Thanks for your feedback!

Your method of creating your own shapes and reusing them is probably the best way to accomplish your task currently, but you are not alone in wanting this drawing functionality in Snagit. We have received feedback similar to this before and will consider it in the future.

Thanks again! Please let us know if you have any other feedback or questions!

That link is no longer valid.  Where are the flowchart stamps now available?
