drawing tools don't show on Ribbon

Please Help! This problem happened years ago when I upgraded my snagit. Now I have a new install on a new machine and its back and it is excruciatingly painful.
Windows 8.1, Snagit 11.4

The Drawing tools are hidden behind a Drawing tools button on the ribbon. I want my drawing tools showing on the ribbon, not a stupid extra button that I have to click 500 time in every drawing. I have combed the discussions, and help trying to find out how to get my drawing tools back, but can't find anything. ADD A CLEARLY MARKED OPTION TO CUSTOMIZE THE RIBBON. SAVE US A LOT OF PAIN.

Hmmm, I can't get mine to look like yours.  How wide is your screen?  If you drag it wider, does it show up?

Windows 8.1 touch screen 1920x1080 at 150% text. This is full screen. This is a resolution issue. If I change the Control Panel\Appearance and Personalization\Display to 100% the tools appear. But everything (other applications) is minuscule. I have to use 150% to be able to read text in other applications. There is tons of room for the tool icons to display at 150%. This is a windows 8 high resolution bug. Please fix this!

There are resolution issues with the ribbon code and yours is definitely painful with your monitor.  Even for me at 1600X900 and 100% magnification I have issues with the Tags tab as shown below.  I've reported this years ago but as it's not a big deal I haven't bothered about it.

This is hard for a user to fix but you could try changing the text size of specific items.  That way you could leave it at 100% magnification but say make the menu text bigger for other applications.  Use the options right under magnification for this.Generally speaking it's not a great idea to stray too much from the 100% magnification value.  Stuff like this happens all the time with the higher resolution screens but TS could do a little better on the ribbon code.

Another way around this is to put the drawing tools on the toolbar so that they are always available.

Here is my Tags tab.  Lots of space to the right on the ribbon while nothing shows in the details section.  It's not painful like yours but demonstrates the same issue.

Thanks Manny, and ditto for your problem.

This is coming at Techsmith like a freight train - its Windows 8 with a high res touch screen. Individually pumped text types cause havoc with multiple monitors (which most of us use in our work) And most applications don't handle them well or consistently.

Presentation and training requires that the font sizes be large enough to be readable, for both screen capture and video capture. All the writers and trainers I know have their display magnification set to 150%. The company I am currently working for has an enterprise license for Snagit with about 20,000 users. We will be on high res touch screens within 24 months. And, we are all trained to annotate using those drawing tools.-- That is a lot of extra mouse clicks for no good reason.
