Dynamic volume adjustment

In Camtasia Studio 8 we have a cool ability to click and drag to adjust the volume of audio. Perhaps I have some background music that I want but I also have some narration too.

Presently, I have to experiment to see what volume adjustments work well for the background track. So I adjust volume, preview, adjust volume, preview and so on.

What would be nice would be if there were a way to preview, yet still allow me to click and drag the volume line on the track to "dynamically" adjust the volume as the preview is playing.

Thanks... Rick :)

Hello there,

I second the motion! -------------------------Plus I'm going to up the Anti.
The biggest frustration I have with the timeline volume is that it's too difficult to adjust until you scale the track up very tall. I usually work with multiple tracks. This leaves no room to see other tracks.
So here's what I'd like to see.

 Regards, Joe

LOL, the mockup looks like the love child of Camtaisia and Premiere Pro!

Good eye. That's it exactly.
Brought to you by PhotoShop and SnagIt hooking up as well. Free time is good.

I like these ideas.  I think having some way of just typing in the value would be good as well.  I know I set one clip to 5%, would be nice to just select a few others, right click and set the volume to 5%.

I like the ideas but would also like it even better if they supported ASIO too.
