Edge of clips is too hard to grab

In the main timeline editor, at the edge of a clip, is VERY hard to get the mouse cursor to change to the two arrows pointing outward, indicating that clicking and dragging will extend the clip.  It seems the portion of the clip that recognizes this is the desired action is a single pixel wide.  PLEASE increase the width of the edge of clips so it is not so frustratingly tedious to simply extend the length of a clip.  Requiring surgical precision to do this editing task is no good!

workaround ...

put playhead near the location; use ctrl-shift-9 to zoom in all the way

Thanks.  I have already tried that and I'm not convinced anything improves.   It's weird because I can't think of any advantages of having the edge so thin, but a great advantage to having it thicker.

It's a difficult issue to deal with. I feel your pain.

I was advised in a different thread that this is something that will be corrected when they release Camtasia 2020.

I can't speak to how well 2020 works on a 4K monitor.
But on my 2K and 1920 x 1080 monitors. Its very easy to grab the edge you want now.

We did some work on the edge targeting for timeline objects in Camtasia 2020. I'd be interested in hearing if this gets closer to a better experience for people.

Cheers,

Kelly
