Edit one track when multiple tracks

Hi. It's hard to explain my question so I'm including a screen shot. I'm using Camtasia 2018. I have video being recorded by one person then adding audio files from another. I had the audio on a separate track (in this example, the audio track is above the video). Is there a way I can just edit the audio (or video) track without affecting the other while they are stacked. I haven't been able to do that so what I've been doing is ripple moving the audio files all the way over to the right and then moving them back. Same for video. I really just want to keep them where they are on the timeline instead of moving them. But when I do it this way and cut from the audio, the video also gets cut. Thanks for your input!

Use the  eyeball to Hide the track and/or the Lock to lock the track.

Either will make that track(s) disabled from editing.

If you Hide a track make sure to turn it back on or it won't be in your video when rendered.
