It would be nice if the capture toolbar that comes up after a capture include both capture and open in editor buttons.  This was after you've captured, you can choose to go directly to the clipboard or edit in the editor without having to pre-set this.

See concept picture below:

Do you not have this feature enabled?

No because I don't always want to edit.  90% of the time, the clipboard is fine. Pretty much the only time I use the editor is if I want to highlight something.

I want to press the PrtSc button, capture what I want, then go right to clipboard or edit the capture.

What I don't want to do is bring up the configuration screen before I perform each capture and I don't always want to preview in the Editor.

Just adding an edit button to the post capture toolbar could do this.

In your screenshot,
You're using the All-In-One capture option.
You could create a custom preset that does both at the same time.

Unfortunately, thats about as close as you can come.
I rarely use the All-In-One capture option.
I create presets that work for me. I usually know what I'm going to do before I capture.
Assigning keyboard shortcuts to my presets.

If your launching All-In-One using the One Click feature. the Giant Red Button is a one trick pony. You cannot customize it.
However, your presets can be selected from the drop down menu.If you don't want to learn keyboard shortcuts its a decent alternative.

Sorry mmahteson,
I deleted the image from your post because it appears to contain Personally Identifiable Information (PII): email addresses and phone numbers.

Going to try to push on this again.  I'd pay to upgrade just for this feature.
I appreciate people trying to assist in the comments above, but you're missing the point and as a developer I know that just adding a button to a UI isn't a huge deal and there is genuine value here.

Image below.  One extra button.  The normal capture button that I can set to capture to clipboard and the new one on the left that will capture and open then editor.
80% of the time I do a capture I don't need to edit it
20% of the time I need to annotate it some how
I don't want to use a separate UI to pre-configure my capture.  I just want to press the PrtScn key then select what I want.
