How can I change the attachment filename when I share a picture via email?

(I've found a similar question: https://feedback.techsmith.com/techsmith/topics/change_default_file_name_format_when_saving_images, but the answer doesn't work in Snagit v11.4. The option to change the filename simply isn't there any more?)

Hi Niki-

There's not currently a way to modify the filename of the attachment when you use the Email button. Even if you save the file with a custom name and then click the Email button, the attachment filename will be something like Snagit1.png.

If you're using Outlook, you can mail the attachment as an embed instead of an attachment...which would make the filename invisible to the recipient:

Is that a viable option for you?

Not really, especially when I want to attach more than one file to an email.

My workaround is to save all the screenshots to a folder (why is there no way to save all selected images?? Or even better: Drag&Drop to Explorer?), rename them by hand and then attach them.

I'm starting to wonder why I've bought SnagIt, if I have to use it the same tedious way as the cheap snapshot tool that comes with windows...

Will this be fixed in the next version?
