The new "check dimension" screen is awesome but it has slowed my capturing. It would be great if you could set a default capture method (mine is 99.99% of the time pictures) which is utilised when you hit the "Enter" key. At the moment I tend to return to the keyboard out of habit

You can click any profile from the in the Big Red Buttons menu. See Image Below.
Or assign keyboard shortcuts " Hot Keys".
It would be nice if you could assign a profile to the Big Red Button though.

Thanks Joe but sorry, that's not the screen I'm talking about, I'm referring the dimension screen:
1. Hit Print Screen
2. Define an area
3. Choose screenshot/video (this is where I'm referring to)

I see what you are looking for now. I can see how that feature could be useful.
I'll also select  " Like" for adding that feature.
At the same time though, if you are going to be dragging around the capture handles to re-size it. Isn't it almost as easy to hit the Image Capture button at the same time?

I agree, it is but I always forget it's there (I'm generally happy with the initial select) and have returned to the keyboard before moving on. I think it was the old SnagIt required an enter somewhere. #UserFail in some ways :)

Tim I have also hit the Like on this one as it would be a nice feature and I believe this or something very similar has been requested before too. Hopefully TechSmith will consider this in the next Update or New Version but they might already have other things and this might not be included. Not sure as I am not an employee and not sure what they are currently working on. Thanks for that suggestion and explanation of what you were asking for as that does help when others give their feedback. Have a great day.
