Erase drawing in Camtasia Studio

Hi,

I want to make a video in which some lines are drawn in a white zone of the screen. After a while, I woud like to simulate a kind of eraser that erases the drawings as if they were drawn in a blackboard.

I would need ideas to accomplish it using Camtasia Studio tools. I know it can be tough, because as long as I know there are no tool inside Camtasia to do this, but I am sure it is possible to workaround it.

Any help?

Use a call-out over the item, and either add a long gradient wipe or animate a movement of the call-out.

erik.groenhaug inspired me to come up with this.

If you apply the Gradient Wipe Transition to a line.
Coupled with a png image of an eraser.  Animated to be moving up and down and crossing the screen. It will simulate erasing the line.
First, I found an eraser online and brought it into Photoshop. Removed some printed words, etc.  If you want to use it, here it is. Complete with animation added as a libzip. Just import it into your library.

Here's a GIF of it.

And what the timeline looks like.

Better yet, heres the project file. That should answer any questions you might have.If not, just ask.

you could also use free Epic Pen to do the drawings; and it has an eraser tool that would let you remove what you draw

Wow!! It is much more than I asked. Epic pen would be the solution if I were screen recording. But the video is finished so I need to do this in edition time.

if you want your drawing/erasing to be in a video, you will still need to record [capture] you doing the drawing; you mentioned drawing in a white area; so do that while you just record that area; then use that clip in your project

perhaps get Epic Pen and give it a try

I meant to mention that you can do the same thing using Camtasia Recorder's ScreenDraw tool
