Erratic Keyboard, Mouse and Drop Down Menus

I just installed Snag It last week. Awesome program, can't beleive I have not used it over all these years.

The bad thing is that since I installed it my computer user input has acted erratic. Many times I click on a text block, even with a cursor blinking and if I type nothing happens.

When I click on a menu the menu disappears for no reason and has to be clicked again. Many drop down menus never stay on long enough to even click a selection.

Most of my complaints are from using Microsoft Word or Excel. They never behaved like this prior to installing Snag It.

If I close down Snag It the problems don't go away.

HI there

"If I close down Snag It the problems don't go away. "

That seems to suggest that installing SnagIt may have been a red herring. I mean, if you close it down and the problems persist and all.

To confirm, have you tried uninstalling SnagIt? You may want to try that. If you uninstall SnagIt and still have the issues, that would seem to only solidify my theory.

I'd be willing to bet you find a different reason than SnagIt for this behavior.

Cheers... Rick :)

I've had the same problem in the past. It was a problem with my computer that SnagIt and its heavy system level activity just exposed. It was like Microsoft and SnagIt were competing for the same resources.

One thing that I did when I got my new computer that helped alleviate some of my problems was to not let the SnagIt Library build up. I save the files I need in other files and then remove the library files. My Outlook will hang up every now and then when I have a lot of SnagIt graphics saved on Outlook documents like Task Files, but other than that it is working fairly well. It's my favorite and most used program next to Outlook.

Best of Luck!
