I am a relatively new user and just purchased Camtasia 9 and Snagit 13 Bundle for Windows 10. I have a new project started and need to import media (PowerPoint 2016 slides). When I use the Import Media command I receive an error message.

Message reads, " Camtasia 9 has stopped working. A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.

Apparently there is no solution since I have not heard back from Camtasia. Has anyone else had this issue and if so, could you please provide an answer here. It will be greatly appreciated.

We have a known issue where PowerPoint import may crash on files with very long slide titles. A fix for the issue has gone through testing and is planned for an upcoming maintenance release.

Thanks for the speedy reply. When do you anticipate the release date of this maintenance update?

Do you know the string length limits for long slide titles? And, If I reduce that name string will it work?

Sorry, we don't have a release date just yet; some work is still wrapping up on other bugs. Yes, shorter slide titles should be a workaround; I believe the problem was with titles over 225-230 characters or so.

Thanks Kevin for the info. As it turns out there were only two of sixty-seven slides that I had to change the title for. Worked like a champ!

What are the Camtasia alternatives that have the same video quality but are cheap in price?

If you doing huge volumes of screen-casting as you mentioned then spend the money and get Camtasia. Please Email support[at]udemy[dot].com and ask for a 50% discount. Find more info about animal clothing.
