Error message"An error occurred while trying to sign-in. Please try again" How to solve?

I am using Snagit 13. When I click on capture, an error message appears saying that: "An error occurred while trying to sign-in. Please try again.  What should I do now to use Snagit?

Hard to say what might cause that error. My suggestion would be to contact our technical support staff (https://support.techsmith.com/) they will be able to help diagnose the problem (there are some log files saved on your system which should have some detail about that error).

In the meantime, try signing out of your TechSmith account from the Snagit Editor. You should be able to capture after that. Try signing in again afterwards, see if the error persists.

I have the same problem, and it appears to be DNS related. For some reason my proxy server just doesn't like the address that is trying to be used to login.

The most annoying thing is that I cannot get rid of the annoying message "An error occurred while trying to sign-in. Please try again". As soon as I click on OK the same error box just instantly re-appears. Logging out is impossible and as such I now have an unusable product.

I am having the same issue, will not go away and Snag-it is basically useless.  I have deleted Snag-it and reinstalled, but the issue continues.  Please help....
