Esc key doesn't cancel capture anymore

I was able to cancel a capture using the Esc key before but now I can not find a way to do that. Is it a bug or is there maybe a different key/combo to do this now?

Does anybody else have this happening? or not happening?

Hmmm....I just tested it.  It works for me with version 2018.0.1 (64 bit) (build 594).

Hello - Still works here with version 2018 on WIN 10 and version 12 on WIN 7. Is it possible that ESC has somehow been assigned to another function? That or conflict with another program? I'd restart the PC first to see if it fixes itself then move on to the other possibilities if needed.

Thanks Guys,

It use to work and I haven't changed any hotkey assignments in any programs.

Did all the reboots/restarts and no go.

I'm on Windows 7 ultimate and I just did the first Tuesday of the month Windows update.
Hmm, I'll have to do some detective work.

Thanks again for confirming.

Did this get resolved? I have the same condition on Windows 7 Pro, with Snagit 2018 most current as of today (3/19).
Editing this. A second restart has resolved this condition. Esc now is working to cancel a screen capture.
