I'm new to Camtasia 3 and have installed a trial version for Mac Pro.  My question here...does Camtasia provide inbuilt music and other stuff in the library since i cannot find anything within the library. Let me know please

Thanks, what is the latest version for free trial.  On clicking for Free Trial, Camtasia 3 got installed on my mac.  I would expect the trial version to be complete with Library. Let me know please, thanks

I just purchased the Camtasia/Snagit bundle and I installed Camtasia 3 on Mac and Camtasia 9(!) in Windows (Parallel Desktop) as well. If the restrictions in terms of your audio tracks are tolerable for you you can take over your project from Camtasia 3 for Mac to Camtasia 9 for Windows and finish it there. It isn't ideal but I hope that Techsmith makes it to implement an library into the mac version.

@eva.lourenco, until @TechSmith provides Camtasia Mac with a Library facility, it appears that you can download the assets from here:
https://library.techsmith.com/

I don't know if this is the same set of assets as in the Camtasia 9 Win Lib or not.  Maybe someone from @TechSmith can comment.

Hi, whilst the Mac version of Camtasia does not have a Library, you can still access and download the library assets from the TechSmith website: visit https://library.techsmith.com/

Hope this helps,

Hi Eva,

Great question! As others have said, at present Camtasia for Mac does not have the Library like Camtasia for Windows does, but you can use the link others have provided (https://library.techsmith.com/) to download all of the assets that Camtasia Windows includes in the default Library.

If Camtasia for Mac had a Library, is that something you would see yourself using? Do you have a lot of media assets that you need to organize, that this might support you with?

Cheers,

Kelly

Thanks Kelly

Having all stuff at one location would be excellent, however I' ve just started to use so doesn't have much assets but this would change. No worries, I'll find a way.

Cheers

One thing you might want to consider Eva, is creating a template project that just contains the media assets you frequently use. In the Mac version you can have multiple instances of Camtasia projects open so you can copy and paste from 1 project to another. You may also want to customise annotations by changing the properties with your own branding colors for example and then save them in the template project to reuse in new projects.
Have fun learning Camtasia!

That's a neat process Jayne, thanks for sharing! Do you employ that workflow yourself for your projects? How often do you find yourself doing this, if so?

Cheers,

Kelly

Thanks Kelly, you're welcome.

I mainly use Windows and really appreciate the Library for storing my customised assets.

I teach Camtasia on both Windows and Mac versions and so share workflows, best practice etc. and this seems to be a good workaround for Mac users who want quick access to their assets.

Cheers,

Jayne

Excellent! Have you received any feedback about that best practice, of creating a sort of "template" starter project?
