Ever since the upgrade, Camtasia for Mac has been buggier than ever.

Got to this page by clicking "Send Feedback" in the software. Not looking for answers per se, but just wanted to send the feedback that Camtasia for Mac has been so buggy since the last upgrade, it's almost impossible to use.  Text and annotation shapes change themselves to black color. Audio doesn't sync up right. Random crashes... The only way to get things to work right is to close the software and open it again. Sometimes I have to do this every 2 minutes, or even within a few seconds of opening.  It's really slowing me down.
So annoying!  You're probably getting lots of reports of this, but I thought I'd add my voice. Hopefully an upgrade will come out soon fixing these things, so i can get back to using Camtasia almost every day again.

It would be helpful if you'd include the exact version number you're using.  Camtasia/About is where  you can find it.  For example, I'm on 2.10.8 (91893).  Thanks.

Totaly agree !
Camtesia 3.0.4 is the most  “close and open again sofware“ I have ever seen !

Worst of all :
Actually I have to record with ScreenFlow... then edit with Camtesia !
My DSR PD 170P Sony Camera (6000$) is ok for all my soft (Final Cut, After Effetcs, etc) except Camtesia !

I'm on 3.0.6.  The previous couple of versions did do the annoying text color change thing, but it would be about once a day, after the software was open for a couple hours.  This one has really increased the pace at which the bugs show up.

For the past 2 years I've been working on several Camtasia-intensive projects.  That's why I'm still on version 2.x.  And now I'm pretty happy with that decision.  I'm very sorry to hear about the difficulties others are having.  Can you downgrade to the previous version?  (Adobe Creative Cloud will let you do this.  I had to downgrade Audition when a bug came along that only affected a few users.)

Best,
Tony

I did my best to downgrade Camtesia 3 to my older version with help of support... no way !
I've got all my editing material (a lot of animations) in Camtesia that's why I keep it.

The best to me is to buy a new DSLR to solve my main problem.
But I've got to find an interface to record screen and video at same time.
I Pray Camtesia allow the set up I'm going to find !

Anyway this upgrade will cost me $1000 minimum !
Thanx upgrade...

Hm, no, actually we haven't been getting lots of reports of this. Curious, if you reboot, or limit how many other programs are running / using up resources, does it affect these problems at all?

I haven't figured out a trigger for the problems.  I just made a video with 9 other programs open and running, and didn't have any issues.  But the other day, it was glitching non-stop.  I closed everything else unnecessary on the computer, to try to get the program to calm down, and it didn't seem to help.
If I remember right, rebooting the computer seemed to help.  But it doesn't completely solve the problems, just slows them down.
It's unnerving, because at any time, one of my annotations can turn black, or the audio waveform will not match the timeline... or something...  I have to be careful, because I never know when the program is glitching or running correctly.
The worst is when I review the video, and everything looks good... then I start to export, and all the annotations (or some of them) turn black JUST before the export starts!  Then my YouTube video ends up ruined, and I have to start over.

What we've seen is that restarting cmac fixes it *temporarily* and I think it only happens on 10.10. If it's possible for you to upgrade to 10.11, 10.12, or soon 10.13, it will probably fix the problem. (all of these OS releases from Apple are free)
