We translate captions... I used to select all and paste into a spreadsheet. I can't do this in Camtasia 7, only export to SRT or SMI, then remove all times and blank lines. If we kept the audio, that's fine as I could send the SRT or SMI for translation... but we change the audio so all the times are different. If you need the ability to export captions as plain text... please shout now!!!

you can do this in CS 7;

right click on a caption point [looks like a blue button], select copy all text.

kayakman... you are the man... or woman. =)

I assume you work for TechSmith. You might want to tell your tech support this... I did contact them first, but told to workaround by exporting, then deleting times and empty lines.

Many thanks again... I was going to hack some code together to do it!

Wow, yea, I didn't know this was possible. Learn something new every day I guess. Good to know going forward.

Thanks!

Yes, there are actually several functions you can perform when right-clicking on any time point to the left of a caption.

Options include:
* Delete a caption
* Delete all captions
* Merge caption text with previous caption
* Copy all text

For other options, right-click on a caption entry. From here you can:
* Add a word to the Speech Dictionary
* Copy / paste
and more!
