I have one large video that I need to make 50 smaller videos from. How do I export a section of a bigger video?

Hi MikeC,

I am going to assume you are working with Camtasia Studio. I think I understand what you would like to do. If so, it is pretty easy.

1. Make a selection on the timeline of the section you want to produce as a mini video.

2. Right-click on that selection and choose "produce selection as..."

3. Finish the production from there, and then re-select and repeat.

Hope this helps,

Sorry, I'm on Camtasia Mac, which doesn't seem to do this.

Not real elegant, but a co-worker suggested the following:
1. Export your entire "large" video to an mp4.
2. Create a new project and import the output of step 1.
3. Repeatedly trim the video and then export each resulting segment. (trim, export, trim, export, trim...)

Hope that helps...

If you don't mind sharing, can you explain what you were doing in more detail so we better understand the use case? (e.g. we're trying to figure out if we need to implement a new feature here...)

Anyone else interested in this case, please feel free to +1 the topic and share your use case as well. We are listening... ;-)
