In CS8, trying to export an entire folder is an exercise in frustration. Through experimentation, I was able to figure out that if you select a folder, then right-click a blank spot somewhere off to the side on the Library pane, and choose the export command, it will then export the folder.

It doesn't appear able to export multiple folders at all any more.

Oh, and as an aside, I discovered that right-clicking an open Library folder and choosing "Collapse folder" doesn't work at all.

Correct. Right-clicking a folder directly won't let you export. Doing a single folder still technically works if you first select the folder, and then right-click off it (on the + as you did, or anywhere off to the right in a blank region of the pane). But this isn't intuitive, and I think most people would assume that whole folder export simply wasn't possible.

And multiple-folder export doesn't appear to be possible at all.

You can expand multiple folders and select all assets within them, right click, and export; the assets will be exported in the containing folders.

When the exported libzip is imported, whatever folders were included in the export will be restored, along with the assets in their respective folders.

Thanks for the screenshots, John. Yes, it's clear there's been an odd shift.

Bob, it's good to know that the folder hierarchy is preserved when you select multiple items in multiple folders -- that actually wasn't clear to me.

I just find it really odd that you can't simply select a folder or folders, right-click, and execute an export. Diving in and selecting all the individual files seems like a really wonky workaround. This isn't expected behavior IMO.

cheers, d.
