Expose the attack and release Volume Leveling compressor parameters.

Currently the only parameters exposed in the properties panel are Ratio, Threshold and Gain. The attack and release parameters in the compressor seem to be hard coded. It would be better to expose these two additional parameters to improve the performance of the volume leveling effect.

I wholeheartedly agree!

Perhaps there is a concern on the part of Techsmith in thinking that the attack/release settings are "too complicated" for "video" people, but you can have them set at the current default values, and even have the controls on a panel that stays tucked away, until the curious fellow comes `round.

In addition to this, why not add support for dropping in audio plugins on clips?  There are an abundance of free VST and AU plugins, for sure, and some of us even have plenty we have purchased.

It's my understanding that some of the plug-ins did not have 64-bit versions (like the older iZotope compressor) and that in version 9 the new compressor feature was built by TechSmith into Camtasia.

I really like the ability to use VST and AU Plugins. We should probably create another idea for that in this system.

Share this to get the up votes. Not sure why it isn't on the current round up.

Hi and thanks for submitting your idea!

As outlined in our New Community Processes post, feature requests are open to voting up through the 1st of the month (this month is slightly different, due to the holidays) where we will then tally the votes and present the findings to our product teams. To ensure we have the most accurate data, on the 1st of the month we will be locking the threads that were listed in the Feature Request Round-up that was posted on the 15th. Once we have reviewed the submitted feature requests, our product team(s) may respond to the request, and if that is the case then that thread will then be unlocked for further discussion.

In the event that your idea is not selected for a response feel free to resubmit the idea and share it with your colleagues to garner as much exposure as possible!

Thank you again for your idea and we look forward to hearing more from you!
