Extend Frame - help

I'm trying to extend a frame of a clip, but the option is light gray on the right-click options, so it can't be clicked on. Does the clip need something to be extendable?

set cursor to end of clip, and set focus to clip. then the option should be available.

Hmm, yep I have both of those set, selected and focused (zoomed in and paused on clip in timeline) but it's still light gray.

Hi Nick,

Any chance you can take a screenshot and include it here? This will help others help you. To show your selection, what else is on the timeline, media type, etc.
Thanks,

Kelly

Perhaps share a screen shot of it? Or record a brief video demonstrating what you see, then upload it to ScreenCast.com and share the link here?

Is the clip grouped with other elements? Is you, ungrouping should solve the problem.

Ah yea, here we are for a screenshot. I don't think it's grouped with anything else.

Hi @Nick.voss, this should help you. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OrpfUyaA2qk You need to do a split ripple to move part of the clip to the right, you can then extend.

I agree! I've used Ripple Delete, but wasn't aware of Ripple Split. That's going to be very useful and save a lot of time.
