Extend frame, snap to end of next adjoining frame.

I'm forever having to extend frames, as I'm creating content for an online course.  Could you add in the functionality to extend frame to end of next frame e.g. Ctrl+Shift+E would take the time between the last frame to the next frame and extend frame.  This would save me a few small steps but would increase my productivity a lot.

have you tried commanding a long duration extension; it should get truncated and fill the space [?]

I'm not sure if you're on Mac or Windows, because you tagged both, but on Mac you can do what I think you are describing-
select the clip on the left. There is some space AFTER this clip before the next one.
Hit ctrl+. (^.) to jump the playhead to the beginning of the next clip
Do Edit->Playhead->Extend Frame to Playhead

You could speed that up a little more if you assign a shortcut key to that command, which on Macs you do in System Preferences -> Shortcuts tab -> App Shortcuts   and then hit the '+' button to add a new one for Camtasia.

Not exactly what you are describing, but maybe would speed you up?

I usually get to this menu by using Help -> and then typing ex (its quicker than navigating the menu tree). However in the latest version - nothing happens if you do that until you click Help again - some sort of refresh bug ? However I added a keyboard shortcut as suggested and that works instantly - thanks !
